I have safely arrived in Hong
Kong. To be honest it's was so weird being at home and just practicing
for about 5 weeks. My cold had hit me a little more than I had thought
so it took a few days to get back into things......it's amazing how much
energy it takes away!!My Christmas was very low-key.....spent time with my family and practiced a bit. It still amazes me, even after all these years, how 95% of the States goes out of commission on Christmas.....super-markets, coffee shops, restaurants......all closed!!! No wonder movie sales go up like crazy.....no one knows what to do with themselves!
My New Year's celebration started with a 15 ½ hour flight to H.K.......anyone jealous? I didn't think so! Actually I didn't seem to mind that much because training last week didn't include a lot of down time. I was what you call a flight attendants nightmare on the flight....my phone went flying under my seat on take-off and in the middle of the flight I dropped my I-pod in the same place....oooops. It was nice to see my dad again......he's been skiing all over Europe since the Champs.....I would be surprised if he missed a mountain. Said he's in the best shape of his life....haha!
Anyways it was good to have a nice team dinner again and ring in the new year in a hotel lobby. My room here is a joke. Apparently when I was here 2 years ago, one of the manager guys from the hotel told me that next time I come back he will put me in a Presidential suite....what a businesses woman I was back then!! Ok the first night, no joke, I got lost in the room! I have my own little spa with two massage tables.....couple's massage anyone? The steam room is made of all marble, and shower water comes out from the ceiling. The dining room seats 20......for my Hong Kong extended family....haha!
All in all, it's absolutely beautiful! Oh and there's a Chloe boutique in the lobby which is so not fair because I cannot buy myself anymore Christmas gifts. I'm so weak in that department!
