FROM CIAO TO BONJOUR!                                                                                                                   May 21, 2008

Happy to report that my calf is doing much better and I have been practicing the last few days. It really took me by surprise when I woke up that day and of course becomes a bigger issue considering it's a week before the Open. Lots of treatment ahead of me but that's nothing new!

The week in Rome could have obviously been better but there were many positives out of it as well. Good matches and prep on the red stuff. The trip started quite well for me...upon arriving at passport control, a handsome Italian barely looked at my passport or visa, simply stamped an empty page and said Preeeego. I was like Pregoooo!!! The food was simply amazing...had one of my favorite ravioli dishes there and the mozzarella is insane...I'm having withdrawals...quite sad actually! There's a completely different feel in Europe...you always find yourself walking instead of driving, attempting to speak the local language, sitting by the fountains and watching people watch you. It doesn't take much to entertain people and that's refreshing to see.

About the shoot...as I had mentioned in my interviews, it was cut down to 90 minutes. I arrived doing my own hair and make-up, wardrobe, etc....shot 2 scenes...one was in a car, literally driving over a bridge 9 times, looking out the window and 'talking on the phone'...second was walking into a hotel. ZZZZ!! Chip chop and I was outta there! This is certainly one commercial I will not be dying to see.

Been listening to Madonna's new CD non-stop....Heartbeat is my favorite tune.

Quote.... As we're at the dinner table discussing what to order I said 'since I had chicken for lunch, I'll have some pasta for dinner'. So Michael says 'since I had pizza for lunch, I'll have pizza for dinner'...only Michael!!

Oh and how can I forget...so at one of the dinners my dad decided to do a little 'wine tasting'. He asks the waiter to get him a glass of red wine of the restaurants choice. They bring it, he loves it. Forty five minutes later he asks the waiter to bring him a different type of red wine to try. So the waiter brings him the second glass of wine, my dad takes a sip and says wow this is one is really good! So I'm thinking to myself how funny would it be if that was the same wine as the first glass. Considering the waiter didn't speak great English, I asked him if it was different and he says 'no, iiiit iiiiz the same'. Have not had a laugh like that in a while.

I have already been to Angelina's (you have to visit when in Paris!) for tea twice in the last four days (although the Mont Blanc is the crowd favorite and a must to try, I always get the macaroons)....will give you the final number after the trip.

Have a new favorite designer...Isabel Marant...check it out!

Check back on the site tomorrow to find out what I have been excited to tell you guys.
Hint: it's blue and starts with "T".
Bye!!
