WEEKEND, ...... WHATS THAT ?                                                                                             October 30th, 2006

All I can say right now is thank god for the backspace button. If we were living in the old ages, I would have
been sitting by my desk, with a trash bin by my side, full of crumpled and torn pieces of paper. Pushkin would
not be very proud of me right now. You see, I'm having trouble figuring out what I want to write about, or let alone, how.
I'm no writer or poet by any means, but at least for someone that does pretty good in school, I wished I had something interesting to write about. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that I define
the word 'useless' right now. I'm kind of grumpy, exhausted, and look like a grey pigeon, flying over the Austrian Alps, and listening to John Mayer's funeral-like song.
When Mike saw me at breakfast this morning he said 'look what the cat dragged in'. That's what happens when you travel with three guys. I appreciate honesty but who needs it at 8 in the morning?? But it's ok, I'll get
him back. Don't you worry!!
Actually I got him the other day.....I took a bouquet of flowers out of my room, and put it right outside his door.
In thirty minutes we were supposed to go to dinner, therefore the plan was for him to trip over them when he left his room. He sort of stumbled, and went on and on about some devil that put flowers outside his room.
Dumbo!!
If I was a professional writer, the story would have sounded much more exciting than it does now. But you're stuck with this chicken scratch.

Anyways it's so great to win two tourney's back-to-back. I wasn't sure if I was going to be fresh for the final, but found a way. Just shows
you no matter how tired you are, the mind will always win. Last stop is Madrid, which puts a huge smile on a my face because the next time I will be packing my bags, the destination will be home, and vacation!! I'm going to take a couple days off now, see a bit of Madrid, and eat
some tapas. My friend Erryn, who also does my day-to-day Nike stuff, is coming as well, which means finally..... some girl time!!

The week in Linz went really fast, everything becomes so routined, you just don't notice the time flying by. I got a chance to walk around the city center for a bit, visited the Lentos museum, and took walks by the river. The museum holds modern art, and they had an exhibition of two artists that were making political reforms through their art. Here's my thing about museums......I have been to many around the world, and it really amazes me how talented these people are. Here's the catch......sometimes museums are sooo big, like St. Peter's Chapel, or Getty museum, that after walking from room to room, I start loosing all interest.
I start asking myself what's the difference between this naked lady, painted by Michelangelo, to the one I saw an hour ago painted by someone I've never heard of. Actually it's pretty disrespectful to the artist, who has worked on that painting for month's on end! My mother, who is a highly-educated person, has always taught me to appreciate
people's work.
Therefore after being in a museum for several hours, I start feeling guilty, because I no longer respect the artists work. But as I'm getting older, I'm getting better at it. I'm a huge fan of tasteful modern art, and currently on a search for paintings for my house.

Ok so I hope this didn't bore you to death, but I really tried to think of something. Hope everyone had a nice weekend, because mine simply didn't exist, but hold on, that's a whole other story.
I'm out!!!
